The African Union has been made a permanent member of the G20. The African Union now has the same status as the European Union, previously the only regional bloc with a full membership. Its previous designation was invited international organization. The G20 includes 19 of the world's wealthiest nations and the European Union represents two thirds of the world's population. On #SAfmNightTalk Oliver Dickson was in conversation with Kwezi Mngqibisa, who is a research associate at the Center for African Diplomacy and Leadership at the University of Johannesburg
